REMOTE CREATIVE SUMMER CAMPS
This summer Gonzo Viz is teaming up with Outside Voice to bring art-based creative camps to kids and teens wherever they may be. Whether your kiddo is an aspiring artist or is just looking for a creative outlet, our camps are for all skill levels and participation requires with simple art supplies that are most likely in the house already.
Our camps are structured around a 3 hour day (afternoon for an escape from the Texas sun) which includes instruction time, creative exercises, a couple of breaks and some time for Q&A. We will learn skills at the beginning of the week, work on projects through mid-week and on Fridays we will share our projects or portfolio of work.
OUR CAMPS
Drawing From and For LIFE
In this camp we will explore methods of observational and practical drawing that anyone can learn and practice. The exercises we will practice can act as a low barrier to entry creative outlet which will help build your instinctive drawing muscles, and can also serve to develop DIY visual communication skills that can be helpful for school and eventually professional life. We will focus on embracing the process of creating and eliminating the fear that can act as an impediment to artistic pursuits.
We will cover topics and techniques such as still life and compositional drawing, shading and tone techniques, figure drawing, including a "live model session", portraiture, transferring and creating from photography and existing imagery
A "bonus" session for all those with iPads out there, a Gonzo Viz Procreate digital creation techniques session.
June 15-19, 1-4pm CT Daily, $250

Campers will learn how to make simple, but impactful animations using our Gonzo Viz process and materials that you have lying around the house and a free app for iOS and Android. We will also be learning parts of the production process such as writing a treatment, storyboarding and adding sound. A great activity no matter your artistic skill level and background!
