Five Minute Portraits at Abstract Austin
A fun afternoon La Zona Rosa painting 5-minute abstract portraits of attendees to "Abstract Austin" put on by Agoric. Thanks to all who resisted their phone for five minutes to sit for me 😄 ! My approach in these paintings was to quickly focus on capturing something of the character of my subject and then break down their face into basic color shapes and, using a limited color palette, construct an abstracted portrait, painted with Goauche on stretched watercolor paper.
